A light-heavyweight bout between former PRIDE and Strikeforce champion Dan Henderson and former UFC champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua will serve as the event’s main event. Henderson recently vacated his Strikeforce light-heavyweight championship belt by resigning with the UFC. Rua returns to action after a dominating first-round TKO performance over former UFC champion Forrest Griffin at UFC 134. Dana White has also stated the bout will determine the next No.1 contender in the UFC’s light heavyweight division. Rashad Evans is slated to face the winner of UFC 135′s upcoming title bout between Jon Jones and Quinton Jackson.
